We are thrilled to know that our mom is in great hands as a patient, staff is caring and loving....
My previous successful experiences took me back to Spring Lake. Through each of my stays at Spring Lake I was impressed with the standards of excellence by the staff of physical and occupational therapists and the nurses. Autumn Breeze Assisted Living Facility is a senior care community located at 904 Lake Martha Drive NE in Winter Haven, Florida. I choose to rehab at Spring Lake Rehabilitation. A few years later I needed knee replacement surgery. I choose again to rehab at Spring Lake Rehabilitation. Three year ago I had blood clots in the toes of my right foot. The doctors made a gallant effort to dissolve the clots but gangrene set-in which required amputation of 4 toes.
People sign in and out when they come, and when the residents leave, they sign out and sign back in again. My mother was here for the past few months and recently discharged home. Everyone from the therapists to the nursing staff treated her like she was their mother. The amenities like private rooms and bistro were very helpful to us when we visited. There were many comfortable places to gather like the library and living room when my mom was getting bathed or changed.

They looked very drab, and it was a very, very depressing place. I didn't like it at all The apartments were very dark, the paint was just a dark gray color, and the carpeting was a dark brown. They were just very gloomy apartments, and very dark.
They have to improve on the decoration. Even in the hallways there were no pictures, nothing to make it pleasant looking. She was very informative and very friendly.
Spring Lake Nursing & Rehab Center
They had quite a number of activities and a nice dining hall. The rooms we looked at seemed to be OK. They had community transportation available for doctors' appointments. They gave us a tour of the whole thing. The independent living looked like it's going to fit my mom's needs for now.
We have never had any experience in a rehabilitation center and didn't know what... My husband went to short-term rehab at Spring Lake for two weeks. They have a large physical, OT, and speech therapy room. The place was very clean and the food was very good. The rooms are clean, good-sized, and private. It’s very clean, it doesn’t smell, and it’s almost immaculate. The staff is very attentive, administration is great, and the director, Dan, is very good with names. It made me think that if you have congestive heart failure, COPD, or asthma, that could be a problem for you because you have to walk long distances. Their accommodations looked pretty good to me. Everybody that we run into was very helpful and friendly.
I highly recommend Spring Lake Rehabilitation. My mom was transferred to this facility when her old facility was shut down by the state this wasn’t our preferred choice but unfortunately we had to choose this facility. As with any facility there is a lack of staff, care, and treatment and many times we the family wanted to speak to admin but our mom asked us not too. The year of the covid lockdown in 2020 our only interaction would be to drop her items off and leave.
